The Royal Workout

Rumors about Nicole Richie’s wedding began when the former reality star began to step up the frequency of her workouts.  Not so farfetched considering the amount of women that like to tone up and slim down before walking down the aisle, knowing all eye will be on you during the big day, and that’s normally for a crowd of a couple hundred, or just 75 if you’re Nicole Richie.

The pre-wedding tradition is so popular, even Kate Middleton and her mother have begun their own personal health regime leading up to the royal wedding this spring.  But considering the fact that approximately 750 million people watched Prince William’s parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana get married in 1981, you can’t blame them.

Carole Middleton, former flight attendant and current head of the party planning company Party Pieces, has gone the Dukan diet.  Although there have been rumors swirling that it was bride to be that had changed her eating habits, it is actually the elder Ms. Middleton that has been adhering to the strict no-carb diet that has been popular with celebrities like Jennifer Lopez in the past. 

“I’ve been doing it for four days and I’ve lost 4 lbs.,” Carole told UK’s Sunday Times when she began the diet in October.

But while her mother is an important part of the day, it is Kate Middleton whom all eyes will be on, and in preparation the young royal to be has stepped up her workout routine.
     
Middleton has always been an avid athlete and active individual, which has kept her in great shape, however she is getting ready to exchange wedding rings with the future King of England, so she has accordingly stepped up her game.Three years ago, while still in school, Middleton saw incredible results when she joined the crew team, and now it seems that she has gotten back on the rower, which can burn up to 500 calories an hour while working the back and arm muscles.
 
The brunette beauty has also included daily gym visits, which reportedly include cycling, jogging and light weight lifting in order to keep her 5’10, 120lb body in shape before the walk down the aisle. 

And if that wasn’t enough, the young couple is taking advantage of the cold weather and planning a final ski trip abroad together before April 29th.
 
Certain habits have reportedly had to go too, according to reports Middleton has given up her favorite cocktail, the ‘crack baby;’ a mix of passion fruit, champagne and vodka, as well as the smoking habit she was reported to have in the past.

It may all seem like a lot of work for just one day, but when the entire world’s eyes are turned to you, you want to look your best.
