Kate Middleton wasn’t the only British sweetheart getting married last weekend; blonde beauty Andrea Hissom tied the knot with billionaire Steve Wynn, the casino king, in Las Vegas last weekend.
The couple exchanged wedding rings in a lavish, star studded, $1 million ceremony held in the ballroom of the Encore Resort in Vegas. And although it was not a Royal event, Wynn’s ceremony was attended by the who’s who of Las Vegas, including hotel magnate Sol Kerzner, billionaires Stephen Schwarzman and Leon Black and country star Garth Brooks. Oscar winner Clint Eastwood even served as best man to Wynn, as was previously reported.
The event was actually a three day even that some were predicting would actually make Wynn some money as high-rolling gamblers rubbed shoulders with celebrities like Sylvester Stallone and Hugh Jackman and singer Celine Dion, and some guest reportedly joked that this was America’s Royal wedding.
Guests were even given free rooms for the weekend which began with a “White Party” by the pool on Friday, followed by the wedding ceremony on Saturday, and a farewell brunch on Sunday.
The bride’s gown, much like Middleton’s already famous wedding dress, featured lace fitted over a close fitted bodice with long sleeves. However her engagement ring couldn’t have been different, with Hissom sporting a 10 carat Heart shaped diamond solitaire, reportedly worth $1 million.
The hefty price tag doesn’t seem to bother Wynn though, as Forbes has him listed as one of the wealthiest men in the world. Wynn also made headlines last year when he divorced his first wife, Elaine, with one of the largest settlements in history at $741 million.
