Thanks to the rush of celebrity engagements over the past holidays, there are quite a few spectacular weddings to look forward to, and so much planning going on.
Jessica Simpson may be walking down the aisle for a second time, but hopefully it will be the last. The pop star has taken a beating in the media lately for the change in her appearance, and even though she has always seemed comfortable with herself, much like Kate Middleton, she has begun a pre-wedding workout routine.
Although she has yet to announce a date or major plans for the big day, Simpson has reportedly hired celebrity trainer Tracy Andersen in order to get fit, according to Us Weekly.
“She wants to look healthy,” Tracy told Us Weekly. She added that Jessica, 30, “is in the mind-set that this is a big, forever lifestyle shift.”
Simpson received a three stone diamond and ruby engagement ring from fiancé and former NFL player, Eric Johnson in November, who already enjoys a vegan lifestyle, prompting Jessica to try her hand at cooking a Tofurkey this past Thanksgiving.
LeAnn Rimes is another bride making headlines recently, after having gotten engaged to her costar Eddie Cibrian, with whom she had a rocky start, to say the least. The two met and fell in love while filming a made for television movie in 2009 while both were married to other people.
Since, the two have tried their best to present a unified front, and most recently got engaged when Cibrian proposed with a custom designed, oval cut diamond, and rose gold engagement ring.
And although they have yet to share any concrete plans, rumors have begun to swirl that the country singer already has a few plans for the big day. According to rumors, Rimes has chosen to wear three different dresses, one for the ceremony, a second for dinner, and third for the reception, perfect for dancing.
The star is also expected to serenade her groom-to-be with a medley of songs, in Montana of all places, with reports that the couple has been scouting places in the mountains. The couple vacationed in the Montana mountains this past summer, with Rimes tweeting how magical it was, writing post like, Sometimes…a lot of times, I want to move to Montana and just live a quiet life.”
However, the wedding to top all wedding this year is the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, set to place on April 29th in London. The family is still keeping a lot of details close to the chest for now, but it seems the highly coveted invitations have been sent out on behalf of the Queen, William’s grandmother.
The understated white and gold embossed invitations made it into the hands of some expected but unlikely guests, like David Beckham and his wife Victoria, who got to know the Prince during their joint bid for the next world cup.
However William’s own aunt Fergie it seems, did not get the honor of an invite this time around, and is being seen as a Royal snub from the Queen.
