Prince William may not be the only royal getting ready to walk down the aisle, as rumors begin to swirl about his younger cousin, Princess Beatrice of York.
The 22 year old granddaughter to the infamous Fergie the Duchess of York and Prince Andrew, as well as granddaughter to the Queen, has been with her boyfriend, David Clark, for more than four years and are reportedly closer than ever.
Her mother, the Duchess of York, never one to be far from the spotlight, made headlines again this year when she was taped accepting a briefcase of money in exchange for access to her ex-husband and the royal family. Actions, she said, which were a result of an alcohol abuse problem.
That scandal, combined with criticism in response to Prince Andrew’s decision to defend his ex-wife and help her recover from debt, have made this a hard year for the young Princess, but sources say she had Clark to lean on.
However, don’t expect to see an engagement ring just yet, as they are well aware that now is not the time to announce their impending marriage. Princess Bea may be fifth in line to the throne, but as second in line, this year belongs to Prince William. According to an article in Now Magazine, the couple, who were actually introduced by Prince William, were well aware that the future king would be proposing and exchanging wedding rings with his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton this year, and were more than happy to wait.
If the source is to be believed, the couple does not plan on marrying until sometime in 2012, so there is plenty of time to wait for their moment in the spotlight.
